Midweek Throwdown Celebrate Friendship

I  also got the Midweek Throwdown Celebrate Throwdown. I had colored this free digi stamp a while ago and had forgotten to tap the artist. :(    (I must do a better job organizing the digi stamps and keeping the artist with the stamp). I did a sentiment. The paper is We R Memory Keepers' Love2Craft and some yellow cardstock. I think I need to add a few gemstones or pearls.

Yeah, I got a Sunday OWH card done before the end of the week. The new Sketch is simple one and I did a simple one. I used my new Christmas KnockOuts borders by American Crafts and a variety of Christmas papers from a DCWV stack. I added a sentiment from a new Hero Arts stamp set, using chocolate pearl ink. I added some Christmas ornaments (raindrops) to the strips and one little one on the o in joy.

Hey, Cupcake

My sister was having a quilt retreat and they themed it

 as Cupcake Heaven. 

She had Googled for a card and found this one by the Pink Stamper.

Since I have an Expression 2, she wanted me to make a card for the participants' morning treat. But she wanted the card to be in fall colors. So I got the E2 out and set to work. My sister needed about 45 cards but I was having so much fun cutting cupcakes out that I cut out 100 cupcakes. Then I had to put the cupcakes on the cards. I used a bunch of paper in the stash, mostly DCWV autumn stacks. The sentiment was in a clear stamp with several cupcakes and other sentiments. Another sentiment in the set was Sweet Birthday Wishes. I placed epoxy candy corn stickers by EK Success' Sticko on the top of the cupcakes. I think I got the stickers at Hobby Lobby.  I was finishing the cupcake cards at the Scrapbook Queen's Retreat and I ran out of the stickers. The lady next to me just happened to have the stickers too and let me use some!! 

Scrapbookers are very nice. I did give her a couple of cards.

Paper Studio (Hobby Lobby) has an embossing folder of cupcakes

that I used on the background cardstock paper, 

which was 4" high and 3 1/2" wide. 

The participants of the retreat thought the cards were soooooo cute!! 

I put some of the Cupcake cards in the OWH box.

Sew happy I got one more card done!! I used this #116. I used my Marvy punches for the scalloped circles. I had the thread patterned paper from Friday's Table 7, but just enough for 6 cards. I added We R Memory Keepers' teal-blue floss to the scalloped circle. I used the SewStamper x stamper to the yellow card bases. I didn't realize it was a self-inking stamp and only black ink. I used my Fiskars stitch punch on the green background paper and the blue DCWV cardstock for the Homespun stack ( It was left over from another card today). I added little bits of scrap paper under the circle for quilting effects. The sentiments is from TPC Studios that I purchased at Joann's. I had a few yellow bases already stamped so I used some epoxy stickers from Chloe's Closet line by Making Memories that I found at Ollie's. 

Ok, that is the 5 Sketches (#140, #142, #135, #121 and #116) that I got completed today Sunday Oct. 21, 2012. I think I got over 100 cards done.

I did Sketch #121 as a Christmas card. I'm behind on making OWH Christmas cards but I think I got about 40 of these done today. I used last week's DCWV Christmas stack and embellishments for these cards. The sentiments are from a stamp set by EP that I got on clearance at the LSS. I stamped the sentiments with white ink, added small snowflakes, and inked the edges. I used red and green cardstock on the cards, using the red strip on the green bases and visa versa.

I used lots of PINK!!  This pink patterned paper is from Scrapbook Queen's retreat. It is the other side of the rainbows/peace paper. I used the new American Crafts stars/scalloped border punch, some chipboards flowers from the stash, an embossed paper by Elsie, and assorted pink cardstocks. The sentiment was from a tiny stamp set from Joann's. I inked the edges of the patterned paper. I think the cards need something else but I couldn't decide what else to add so Sketch #135 is done.

Still catching up on the Sketches. Here's #142. I used the texture cardstock from DCWV's Homespun stack and I got the rainbows/peace paper from Scrapbook Queen's retreat a couple of weekends ago. The sentiment is a go-to stamp I have and I'm not sure where I got it.

Working hard today

I'm working hard today and the kitchen is no longer visible under all the paper, punches, and stamps. I'm trying to get cards done using the OWH Sketches done. My goal of using all of the OWH Sketches this year is way off track. I completed 5 Sketches today out of 18 Sketches I had copied for my review at the kitchen table.

I turned Sketch #140 on its side and used one of my Riley stamps. Riley the Moose is really cute and I have a great start on their collection of Rileys. You can find this cute guy at http://www.rileyandcompanyonline.com/home.

I have big scraps of paper from Friday's Table 7 so I used the shimmery teal paper, the metallic gold, and a bit of copper. I used my newly purchased American Crafts' Christmas Knockout Punches, using the star with the scalloped edge, on the sentiment block. The stamp set is from Michael's but I don't remember the company of the stamps, which were Wizard of Oz. I colored Riley a while back and used my Copic markers.
