The past 2 Fridays, I have stamped and embossed images for future cards. Here's some of the images. I am currently doing the Project 365, which is a photo a day. So I did a bunch of stamps with photography as the theme. I did another group the 2nd Friday but didn't take a photo of them.
Martin Luther King Day was a day off at school so I traveled to Springfield, OH to pick up my son. But first I went to Crafts2000, which recently changed its name to Pat Catan's Crafts and Florals. Anyway, I got several things on sale/clearance. I got scalloped square punches for $5 each. They had Martha Stewart Baker's Twine 10 yards (3 colors) for half off so the package was $1.63. I got 4 Cat's Eye ink pads for $1 each and Scrappy Cat ink pads for 63 cents. Mostly embellishments but I did get a pad of 12x12 paper and 4 single sheets.

Cards I have been Making in Jan. so far.
Card for Mom's second cousin whose husband recently passed away.
Had a cute school bus sticker and a piece of leftover paper.
More leftover papers and a stickers. I added the cloud stickers because it looked plain without them
Lots of purple cards this time. The ribbon was in Michael's Christmas clearance.
It is lime green velvety rickrack.
a puzzle page I turned into a kid's birthday card. Added a light touch of glitter glue.
another purple card. Purple is not a color I use a lot but this bunch of cards has a lot of it. More of the velvety rickrack but a teal-y color this time.
I found these cute birdhouse stickers. I had the card done and went back and added the clouds and the stick for the post of the birdhouse. I didn't like it "floating" in air.
more scraps and some jewel flowers
I loved this love bug paper from the Expo and wish I had gotten more of it. Added punched out hearts and the saying cut out by my Cricut (Simply Charmed cart, I believe)
Now I need to get a box shipped OWH. It is full and overflowing but some are Christmas ones I'll need to hold on to till later in the year. I hear PO rates are going up in Jan so I better get the box mailed soon.
Reading
good items to make several different types and sizes of journals for various uses.
Creative Albums
by Donna Downey
cute smaller albums. She used various items to make small scrapbooks. One item was a cigar box. She used CDs for the first album in the book and the last album was made with floppy disks.

Happy New Year 2012
Here's two cards I did using subway art from free printables at http://anythingbutperfect.com/ . There are 6 colors of the subway art on the site but I used only 2 of them. The free printables are for framing as 8x10" but I printed them smaller to fit a card. I layered it with various cardstock and added a bit of ribbon. I used Viva Pearl pen in opal and black for the dots around the subway art and on the numbers. I only made a few of these for my sisters and my sons. I really liked the colors and the design of this subway art.
Title Page for Project Life 365 2012
I got my title page done for my Project Life 365 2012.
I pulled out a bunch of different papers from my paper stash. I used Bo Bunny Mama Razzi line of paper and stickers, 7 Gypsies sticker set with the big P, and Elsie's Click Click paper. I cut it in two pieces and pieced them back together so I could write on the yellow legal pad paper part. I did my journaling in pencil and really like the look, though it won't be archival. I even have this page in the album already!! I have a start for the year-long project. I had seen the project in the Feb. 2012 issue of Scrapbook, Etc. and found other examples online such as Photo a Day and Day2Day. I hope to keep it up for the whole year and learn a bit more about how to take better/different photos.
