Sketch #165

Sketch #165

Another quick card made during the June quilt retreat. Yellow and red cardstock paper was used plus a patterned paper on the strip. I used a EK Success border punch, and scalloped circle punch and a teddy bear punch. I used the little black piece from the filmstrip punch for the little Paper Smooches sentiment. I used a few of the punched pieces from the border to mat the pearls at the bottom of the card.

Sketch #176

Sketch #176
Another sketch I completed at the early June quilt retreat. My sister and her best friend are the event planner and I help out some. I am usually the only scrapbooker there and I don't know much about quilting and don't go on the shop hop so the retreat can be a great time to get lots of cards done.

I used Graphic 45 papers for this sketch's cards. I think I used 3 different papers from the Circus theme and some scrap yellow cardstock. I added flowers to the cards for the brads in the sketch. The blue flowers are paper embellishments by Graphic 45. I purchased the Graphic 45 paper at Tuesday Morning and still have a lot of the paper left. I used Paper Smooches stamps.

Sketch #149

I'm still catching up on some of the latest sketches. The holidays were busy and I missed a couple of sketches on the Sundays.

Here's Sketch #149.

School was crazy today as Mondays tend to be but today was a bit crazier than usual. It must have been the winter storm that started about 2:00 pm. I needed some time in the scrapbook room tonight.

I found this sketch and thought I could do it. Here's 2 cards I made out of about 12. I opened the scrap bin and used whatever I found and that matched with other bits. I used the stack of sticky-backed flowers for the circle and added a small sentiment from Paper Smooches and a bit of ribbon. I followed the sketch pretty closely except for the flower instead of a circle. It seems to need something else but
I think I'll be done with them.

Here's to hoping for a snow day tomorrow!

Sketch #62

Sketch #62

At Table 7 the other night, I was scrapbooking a dinner at a Mexican restaurant in Russia and had some papers and stickers left over. Just enough for 3-4 cards. Here's one of them, using Sketch #62. I may go back and redo the Let's Party sentiment (Paper Smooches) as the Distressed Green Ink is not quite dark enough on the green background. The pinata was from a sticker set by Sticko (EK Success). I didn't keep track of the various papers - cardstock from Archiver's, and the green checkers are American Craft's travel paper pack. The green peppers paper is from Archivers too but I have seen it at Hobby Lobby and maybe Joann's but I can't think who makes it. The Baker's Twine is from the big roll I got at King Arthur's store in Vermont.

Sketch #132

I did this card this summer but I don't think I ever posted it. I love Riley and here he is the grillmaster! I found the paper in my food section of papers. The Let's Party is from Paper Smooches and the Happy Birthday is from another clear stamp set. The paper cut as a ribbon is BBQ paper.
