Sketch #145
Wow, I got a sketch on the Sunday it is out!! I spent some time making cards, mostly for OWH but some for my own use. I make lots of cards but usually forget to send them out to the family for birthdays and such. Something is wrong with that. I'll have to get better at that.
Anyway, here's the Sketch #145 and my version.
I had used October Afternoon's Rocket Age for a scrapbook page for work and had some pieces cut already. I love double-sided paper for cards because you can flip pieces over and have a completed look quickly. I get frustrated at times with double-sided paper for scrapbook pages because I can't decide which pretty side to use. I did turn the Sketch sideways. Most of the cards I make are a horizontal layout. I used the sentiment from one of Hero Arts' OWH sets. I added a few blingy bits. I used one of these cards for a thank you card at work.
Thanks for stopping by.
Cute! I just love the sentiment!
ReplyDeleteI just looove that paper! I usually make more horizontal cards as well which is why I usually challenge myself to work on some vertical. tfs!!!
ReplyDeleteVery cute! And a great use of that sentiment - it's one of my favorites! Thanks for joining us in this week's Operation Write Home Sketch Challenge!
ReplyDeleteI just love that sentiment and I like this particular sketch side ways anyway. I know what you mean about not knowing which side to use of double sided paper. I hate the thought of not showing off some of these beautiful sides.
ReplyDeleteI love how you rounded the corners of the papers - thanks for the idea!!
ReplyDeleteFantastic card Sandy and I love those papers! I love the sentiment and this set is on my wish list. I don't have a favorite between vertical or horizontal cards. Mostly I let the pattern in the paper, or the sketch tell me which to go with.
ReplyDeleteGreat papers and love all those stars with that sentiment!
